Title I Preschool/Preescolar del Programa de Titulo IOur Title I PreK program is for children ages 4 to 5 years, not yet eligible for Kindergarten. Children who turn 5 before September 1 are encouraged to register for Kindergarten. Currently located at various Title I elementary schools, the Title I PreK program (for four year olds) is taught by a certified teacher. This federally funded program provides instruction for eligible students demonstrating educational need at no cost. Important Information Enrollment in any program, including Gifted Preschool, does not waive the kindergarten entrance requirement that a child must turn 5 years old before September 1st. Our Early Childhood Programs are for children ages 3 to 5 years, not yet eligible for Kindergarten. Children who turn 5 before September 1 are encouraged to register for Kindergarten. It is not our practice to have children who are Kindergarten eligible to enroll or repeat PreK. All children must be toilet trained to attend. All children must meet the age requirements of the program for which they enroll by August 31st of the current academic year. Children whose fourth birthday falls after school starts in August, but before September 1st, will be eligible to begin on the Monday following their birthday . All programs meet Monday through Friday and follow the district academic calendar.Child Care Program

Whispering WindMascot ClubPlease note that all submitted contracts are in a pending status until approved. There are a limited number of spaces available at each site based on licensed capacity and available staff. Programs fill quickly and are staffed to ratio per Arizona Department of Health Services (AZDHS) standards. Once sites reach capacity, your child will be placed on a waitlist. Removal from the waitlist takes place throughout the year as new space becomes available. Trained and caring staff supervise children as they participate in a variety of activities designed to meet their special interests and needs. The program operates Monday through Friday at multiple sites across the district. Morning hours are from 6:30 a.m. until 30 minutes prior to the start of school. Afternoon hours are from school dismissal until 6:30 p.m. Activities are aligned with Arizona Quality Standards for Out-of-School Time Programs and sites are licensed by Arizona Department of Health Services. Transportation to and from each program is the responsibility of the parent. Arizona Department of Health Services regulates pvschools' Community Education childcare programs. Information on licensing and inspection reports are available at the Arizona Department of Health Services' offices at 150 N. 18th Ave., Suite 400, Phoenix, AZ 85007. Program Rates for Accepted Contracts Registering your child for any Community Education program is a contract for childcare for a specific program and you are liable for the contracted costs whether your child attends one day, the maximum number of days, or no days at all. If your child is no longer attending, you are responsible for notifying our office and we will withdraw your contract effective at the end of the current month. We do not prorate for a partial month and we do not hold a spot without collecting fees. If you choose to leave your child enrolled without attending, you are required to pay the contracted rates. No credit, refund, or make-up time is offered for absences. Arizona Department of Economic Security offers assistance to families who qualify. For information about qualification and general procedures, visit their website or contact DES at (602) 569-4719. We accept DES childcare assistance at the following schools: Boulder Creek, Copper Canyon, Desert Shadows, Desert Trails, Fireside, Grayhawk, Mercury Mine, Pinnacle Peak, Sandpiper, Sky Crossing, Whispering Wind, and Wildfire. Non-School Day Only Mascot Camp Mascot Camp is held on district non-school recess days identified on the district calendar. Families can select individual days that care is needed. Camp Location: Foothills Campus - 17835 N. 44th St. Phoenix, AZ 85032Camp hours: 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. You must register for Mascot Camp days in advance. Registration will not be accepted after noted deadline dates. Sign up early as space is limited. Staffing for Mascot Camp days is based on enrollment. Join us at the Paradise Valley Family Resource Center for this fun, interactive preschool class designed for children ages 3–5 and their parents/caregivers. In iBuild, little learners explore early learning concepts through building, creating, and experimenting with blocks, recycled materials, and everyday objects. Each session helps children strengthen fine motor skills, problem-solving, creativity, and early STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) foundations.
